Obstacle Dodge

Obstacle Dodge is a 3D arcade-style game where players maneuver through challenging pathways and dodge obstacles in a dynamic environment. The goal is to test reflexes and precision while navigating through increasingly difficult levels.

The game offers a handcrafted world with vibrant visuals, fast-paced gameplay, and a progression system designed to keep players engaged as they master the mechanics.

My Role

3D arcade dodging game built in Unity with C#. I built the player movement and navigation, the obstacle spawning and collision handling, and the difficulty progression that ramps speed and density the longer a run lasts.

Systems Built

  • Player movement - Responsive position control tuned for fast, reflex-based dodging with predictable, readable handling.
  • Obstacle spawning - A spawner that places obstacles procedurally and scales their speed and density as the player progresses.
  • Collision and scoring - Trigger-based collision detection driving the fail state and a continuous score and progression loop.
  • Difficulty curve - A progression system that ramps pace over time to keep the challenge climbing while staying fair.
